[img]upload/ipod.jpg[/img][color=red]Update Finale:[/color] So all the speculation was true…Apple is releasing an upgraded iPod with [url=http://www.apple.com/ipod/ipod.html]video capabilities[/url]. This new iteration stays true to the original design except is slightly wider and considerably thinner. Like the Nano it is available in ipod white and sleek/sexy black. Both colors are available in 30GB and 60 GB which will be swallowed up by all those episodes of “[url=http://www.adultswim.com/shows/athf]Aqua Teen Hunger Force[/url]” you download off of iTunes. Oh yeah, [url=http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/]iTunes 6.0[/url] was also released yesterday with a new video downloads section. You can access the video store and download episodes of your favorite TV programs for a mere $1.99. Not something I can see myself utilizing too much…but it would be nice to be able to catch up on “[url=http://tvplex.go.com/buenavista/tonydanza/]The Tony Danza Show[/url]” while stuck in traffic. How can anyone not want that! It looks cool, but I think I’ll hold out for a wider screen on they’re 2nd or 3rd generation video iPod.

Once again, Apple has something up their sleeves and is building up anticipation for their [url=http://images.appleinsider.com/images/appleinvite-onemorething.jpg]special announcement[/url] on October 12th. Many are saying that it will finally be the video iPod that many have speculated about for the past year or so. I find this rather odd since they just introduced the [url=http://www.craigandlori.com/blog/blog.php?id=37]Nano[/url] a few weeks back and this would definitely hinder it’s sales.

Among other rumors, [url=http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2005/10/20051004213650.shtml]some are saying[/url] that the announcement will be for a meatier version of the regular iPod and updates to their PowerMac and PowerBook line. I know you all could use an 80GB iPod right about now. Who has that much music? I can’t even fill up my 20GB.

[color=red][b]Update:[/b][/color] No Video iPod anytime soon, but the rumors about the regular iPod, PowerMac’s and PowerBooks are true. Oh well, not like I was going to buy one anyway.

[color=red][b]Update 2:[/b][/color] Ok, now [url=http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0510oct12d.html]Think Secret[/url] is saying that there WILL be an iPod Video debut today. The show starts at 10AM Pacific…and all this confusion will finally come to a much needed end.

[color=red][b]Update 2.5:[/b][/color] The show is drawing near and some photos of advertisements outside the theatre where the presentation will take place have begun popping up. The [url=http://static.flickr.com/27/51879092_40a557764e.jpg?v=0]images[/url] show an enlarged iPod with a somewhat wider and larger screen…hmmmmmm.
